ok hun...b4 u do a spell u cast a circle. by casting a circle u r protected 4rom everything bad around u. circles keep ur gud magick in and evil out. if u wnt 2 know how 2 make a circle go 2 google and search wicca+circle...

i have found that i rarely need to use a circle to cast anything as long as i am surrounded by nature

I agree w/lastlove. Usually if iam surrounded by nature, i feel less of a need for the circle.

Another good source on beginning on this path is anything by scott cunninghan. Guide for the solidary practiconer is a good place to start. If you are more in tuned with the night, you may want to find Nocturnal Witchcraft by Konstatinos. I've found that most informative.
