FA CUP matches will always have a special atmosphere about them and tomorrow's encounter against West Brom will be no different as the two sides come face-to-face for the third time this season. And after two of the most dramatic matches this season were played out by the Baggies and the Sky Blues at the Ricoh and the Hawthorns in late 2007, which way this one will go. Team news The Sky Blues will be without newest recruits Danny Fox and Scott Dann for the clash, who are both cup-tied having played for Walsall in earlier rounds of the competition. Midfielder Stephen Hughes who was a scorer in City's fourth round win over Millwall remains doubtful after missing Tuesday's goalless draw against Cardiff while Ben Turner, Leon McKenzie, David McNamee (all hamstring) and Colin Hawkins (Achilles) are ruled out. |

Andy Turner's big match prediction: Sheffield Wednesday v Coventry City THE stakes have risen dramatically for both sides since December's game was abandoned and this has now become a crucial relegation zone six-pointer. It is even harder than usual to guess what mood the Sky Blues will be in after Sa ay's traumatic events at the Ricoh Arena. But if their wounded pride isn't enough to spur a response, the fact that their long-term future is being assessed by a new manager should have the appropriate effect. The dangerman: Enoch Showunmi NOT a prolific scorer, but the Nigerian international, signed from Bristol City last month, is a real handful who will expose any weaknesses if the Sky Blues back four suffer from an FA Cup hangover. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1 Coventry City 2 |

Andy Turner's big match prediction: Coventry City v Leicester City Match Coventry City vs Leicester City Date 23.02.2008 Kick Off 3PM LOCAL pride must be restored against Leicester City who have had the upper hand over the Sky Blues for far too long now. City's rivals have inflicted six defeats and recorded three draws in the nine league games since both sides dropped down to the Championship. Last month's 2-0 defeat at the Walkers Stadium was one of the worst displays of the campaign and the play-ers owe it to the fans to put things right. Last week's drubbing in the FA Cup should also be burning in their souls. But the mere presence on the touch-line of new manager Chris Coleman should be enough to spark the team to victory. NIPPY front runner who moved to Leicester in August 2005 from Tranmere, where he had made his debut as a 16-year-old. Born in Edinburgh, but is a Canadian international, with 21 caps and two goals to his credit. Hume signed a new three-year contract with the Foxes last summer and netted his 30th goal for the club in the 4-0 drubbing of Norwich last weekend. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Coventry City 2 Leicester City 1 |

Andy Turner's big match prediction: Burnley v Coventry City THE new-broom effect worked wonders for the Sky Blues on Sa ay. And, if they can cash in on their game-in-hand, they will suddenly be reassuringly clear of the relegation zone. It won't be easy against a Burnley side who triumphed 2-1 at the Ricoh Arena last month and have now got their sights firmly set on a play-off place. But the Clarets' record at Turf Moor this season is scarcely intimidating - they have won only four of their 16 Championship matches (drawing seven and losing five). This compares to an away haul of eight victories from 17 starts, and on their last home outing they stuttered to a 1-1 share with Colchester. NOW well into the veteran class, but the England international still shows the sharpness that has seen him average almost a goal every two matches over nearly 500 league games, most of them in the top flight. Last time out he snapped up a hat-trick to humble QPR at Loftus Road. So City will be hoping that his Achilles problems linger for a few more hours and deny him a role in the starting line-up or on the bench. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Burnley 1 Coventry City 1 |

Match Coventry City vs Sc*nthorpe date 1.3.08 kick off 3pm TOMORROW'S game kicks off what could be an absolutely crucial month for the Sky Blues. Chris Coleman will hardly have time to catch his breath as the fixtures come thick and fast - in the space of 18 days, City meet five teams from the second half of the table. Three points at Glanford Park would set up the Sky Blues nicely for such a crunch spell. But nine-man Sc*nthorpe managed a draw at the Ricoh in November and are also eager to drag other teams into the relegation dog-fight. It could be a nail-biting encounter. BORN in the same week that the Sky Blues won the FA Cup, Paterson is an all-action striker who won his first senior cap for Northern Ireland in November. He joined United from Stoke last summer and his new club rejected an 850,000 bid from Norwich recently. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Coventry City 1 Sc*nthorpe 1 |

Andy Turner's big match prediction: Coventry City v QPR THE BIG question tonight is can the Sky Blues dust themselves down after back to back away defeats and produce a performance worthy of a result? With Michael Doyle back from suspension, the skipper should provide a bit more bite in the midfield, while Chris Coleman has to weigh up whether to go for the experienced head of Stephen Hughes at such a testing time of the season, or keep faith with the youthful exuberance of Kevin Thornton who is capable of conjuring up a bit of magic to unlock the tightest of defences. The most worrying aspect, however, is wondering where the next goal is going to come from. City are looking decidedly light up front right now and are desperate for leading scorer Michael Mifsud to find his shooting boots again. QPR like to pass the ball about so it should be an open and entertaining game, and if Coventry get over their nerves and rediscover a bit of confidence, they might just get something out of what is expected to be a difficult game. AN instant hit at Loftus Road, Agyemang chalked up eight goals in his first six games after signing for 350,000 from Preston North End in January, making his fee look extremely good value. While Preston fans were amazed - the striker never proving prolific in their colours - Agyemang was re-writing the history books with the best scoring run at QPR for 41 years. He has since gone three games without a goal. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Coventry City 1 QPR 1. |

Andy Turner's big match prediction: Norwich Ciy v Coventry City GOALS are extremely hard to come by at the moment and the most worrying aspect about this game is wondering where the next one is going to come from. Going on Wednesday night's display, City have tightened up at the back and as long as they keep plugging away and creating chances, things must surely turn for the Sky Blues. If they can get one and get their noses in front they should have enough about them to go on to win the game against a resurgent Norwich side who have proved difficult to beat under Glenn Roeder, having only lost three of his 11 away games to date, winning five and drawing three on their travels. The dangerman: Jamie Cureton EX-ENGLAND youth international who began his career at Norwich before going on to play for Bristol Rovers, Readinbg, QPR, Swindon and Colchester. A real poacher in the six-yard box, Cureton recently had an appendix operation and returned to action to score the winner against Barnsley last month and grabbed the equaliser at Watford on Tuesday night as a second-half substitute. Andy Turner's big match prediction: Norwich Ciy 1 Coventry City 1. |

Andy Turner's Big Match Prediction THIS fixture really will test the Sky Blues' mettle. So many times City have gained confidence from a t good performance at home or in the Cup and then thrown it all away with a woeful display on the road. But if the team can continue to keep things tight at the back, as they have done in the last five games at the Ricoh, that should give them a platform to get a result at Bramall Lane where they have only won once in the last five Championship visits -back in 2001 in Roland Nilsson's first league game in charge. Since then they have drawn two and lost two and unless Coventry suddenly pull out a rare away day special, one can't see them getting anything more than a point. The Dangerman: James Beattie ONE of the few bright spots in a difficult season for the Blades, Beattie has gone some way to justifying his 4m transfer fee. The former England international is looking to rebuild his career after a lean couple of years at Everton and though he endured a lean spell recently, Beattie got himself back on the scoresheet in United's last two games. Prediction: Sheffield United 1 Coventry City 1 |

Andy Turner's big match prediction v Sheffield Wednesday THE Owls have scrambled two crucial wins in the space of a week that saw City struggle to kill off nine-man Norwich before suffering an unfortunate defeat against Wednesday's Bramall Lane neighbours. This would be an ideal opportunity to prove the theory that luck does indeed balance itself out over the course of a season. The Dangerman: Deon Burton The Jamaican striker has done the rounds since his 1 million move from Cardiff to Derby in 1997, but although not a prolific scorer he has the knack of notching important goals - as in the last two crucial wins. Sky Blues 3 Sheffield Wednesday 1 |
