One Sunday about a year ago my sisters son invited me 2 go 2 church with him and his wife. * del edit --- oubaas 24.12.08 - 01:04pm For 2 years I did not have much opportunity 2 go 2 church, and I eagerly accepted without asking about the church they are attending. we arrived for the service and you get a really warm welcome by people standing at the entrance door. These people were very eager to let you fill in a form so that they can know who attended the church. Surely this is a practise you will find in most churches today. Fool what I was, I filled in the form, as I previously did it at another church, and they contacted me afterwards to hear if I have any specific personal or spiritual need. Well, with this still fresh in my mind I completed the form carefully. The whole sermon went about money and self enrichment in God's name! I was a bit confused about the whole issue, but soon forgot about it. I could not remember much of the preach, because it onley was money, money, money! Early the Monday morning a lady phoned me, and asked if I enjoyed the sermon. I told her on the man off not really. All she couldsay was: Oh! Next thing she tells me that she want to inform me that if I become a sow partner and sow generously, I wud receive multiple financial blessings. I got so upsite I politely hung up on her! I thought end of the story. Tuesday morning comes. Surprise surprise. Same woman again. Lady: Oh sorry sir, looks like we had a bit of line problems yesterday. Sir, did you think about my question? I said listen lady, are you interested in my soul or my purse? She was half put off and quickly recoverd, and said: No I will get someone to phone you in that regard. I then asked her to please leave me alone, and that I will NEVER become part of that church. I then greeted her and hung up. Wednesday come. Phone rings again. Same lady again! i asked her if she never gives up? Then iasked her to leave me alone as she wont get any money out of me. Wow, she never phoned me again. I am still waiting for the other person to contact me. PEOPLE BEWARE!!! |
