CORRIE STAR PREGNANT
Alison King is more than 3 months pregnant with her first child, it has been announced.
King, 35, who plays the glamourous and ruthless Carla Conner, has been with sound assistant Adam Huckett since last year.
A Corrie spokesman said 'Alison and Adam are over the moon with the news, their thrilled and delighted.'

TOP GEAR SWITCH ON
Stars from Top Gear switched on the lights for the Blackpool illuminations watched by thousands.
More than 20,000 people were in the town to see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and The Stig switch the lights on.
The crowd were also entertained by Boyzone and Scouting for Girls.

JASON TO UNLEASH HIMSELF AGAIN
Jason Donovan has announced his first new alb*m in 15 years.
The 40 year old ex-neighbours star's last album, All Around The World went in at 27 in the UK charts in 1993.
The new album, to be released in November, is inspired aw music from the late 1950's and early 1960's. Let It Be Me features new versions of classic songs like Blue Velvet, Love Hurts and Smoke Gets In My Eyes.

LILY AND ELTON'S STAGE ROW
Lily Allen and Elton John had a huge row as they presented the GQ Men of The Year Award, it's been reported.
Lily was drinking champagne, getting more and more tipsy as the evening at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden progressed.
When the 23 yr old announced '' . . . And now for the most important part of the night'', Elton chipped in, ''What? Are you going to have another drink?''
Lily fired back, '' off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me.''
Elton replied ''I could still snort you under the table'', to which she replied '' off, I don't know what you are talking about.''
Lily has had a busy time of late, also thanking the police for foiling an alleged kidnap plot involving one of her friends. Lily's friend and another man, both in their 20's were abducted by gunpoint and found handcuffed with their heads covered, both were unhurt.

Its good to see that stroppy, ill mannered little girl put in her place at last. Well done Lily.

ROWLING GIVES CASH TO LABOUR
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has given a 1million donation to the labour party, saying the government had done a lot to help disadvantage children.
Rowling, whose fortune was estimated at 560million in this years rich list, is known to be a personal friend of Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah.
Gordon Brown said ''I thank her for supporting the labour party and our values of social justice''.

CLIFF'S SUMMER HOLIDAY REUNION
Sir Cliff Richard will be reunited with his Summer Holiday co-stars at the unveiling of a plaque in his honour at London's Elstree Studios.
The 1963 box office hit about a group of friends travelling across Europe by bus was one of the five films the singer made at the studios.
Two other stars of the musical comedy Jeremy Bulloch and Teddy Green, are set to greet Sir Cliff as he arrives.

MOSS BETTER KNOWN THAN MONA
A Banksy painting of Kate Moss is more recognisable then the Mona Lisa, according to a poll.
The poll asked the public to name subjects in famous works of art.
The survey found that while 63% of respondants were able to identify an image of the supermodel by the artist Banksy just 6% could name the enigmatic subject of Leonardo's masterpiece.

Simon Cowell has had so much botox he can't scowl, says fellow American Idol star Ryan Seacrest.
The US TV presenter mocked Cowell's love for face-freezing injection on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Sir Michael Parkinson has ridiculed his former ITV bosses for telling him his chatshow was finished because he was too expensive.
Parky, 73, whose guests ranged from Fred Astaire to David Beckham, brought down the curtain on more than 30 years of his show at the end of last year.
''Michael Grade, ITV chairman, told me with a straight face that I was too expensive.''

LITTLE BRITAIN PAIR PLAN MOVIE
Comedy duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams are set to appear as multiple characters in a big screen production.
The Little Britain stars are working on the film with studio Dreamworks.
Lucas said ''The two of us will play five of six characters that will go around together. We thought it would be interesting to make a movie where we play lots of people and have scenes where they all interact.''

BABY SPICE TO OPEN RESTAURANT
Emma Bunton wants to open a restaurant in London with her partner Jade Jones.
The singer has ditched plans to move to the US to forge a TV presenting career and will instead focus on running a family business.
Jones a trainee chef has said they do want to open a restaurant together but don't know when or where yet.

Jamie Oliver and wife Jools are expecting their third child.
Jools, 34,is three months pregnant and the couple want a boy. Jamie and Jools have 2 girls, Poppy Honey 6, and Daisy Boo 5.
The baby was conceived in the natural way. Jools suffered with polycystic ovaries and had IVF before conceiving Poppy.
