A man is the dominant person in a marraige. That's a fact. And a father has to play a huge role in feeding Proper ISLAM to a child. The father is the one who toils for the family,if he deals with usury (not prohibitd in xtianity) the child will get influenced. If the father doesn't goto Jummah, he doesn't do the basics in Islam, the child will also tend to do that.
