Well, I dont speak on behalf of the Catholic church, but the Bible says 'Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers...' (2 Corinthians 6:14).

personally i dont see a problem with inter religion marriages. my former wife was High Anglican and i am a Quaker. my adopted daughters are all Jewish and they are marrying Goyim.the problem starts when the time comes to decide which faith the children will follow.

islam allows a muslim man to marry a christian or a jewish woman. so nothing wrong if followed according to islam
