A light-weight browser alternative based on webkit developed by the same crew that did catfish searching front-end for Linux (recommended application by XFCE and default search tool on Xubuntu). http://www.twotoasts.de/index.php?/pages/midori_summary.html |

It's partially associated with the XFCE project. http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/applications/midori |

The Windows version is still rather buggy. I haven't had a browser hang randomly like this in many YEARS. On Xubuntu 9.10 the version 0.19 worked pretty okay though. Tested some userscripts and userstyles on it for a few sites and it was fine. Used it from feb to may i think. On that lower-end test machine it was better than firefox/icecat for very basic usage. (can't recommend midori for serious usage yet, testing only.) |
