john1:1 in the begining the word was. And the word was WITH god. And the word was A god (in gods form). And v14 ... ONLY begotten son FROM a father ... (Two seperate persons.) also when jesus raised lazurus who did he pray to before?(john 11:41.42) Himself? I dont think so! And before he died did he asked himself to 'remove this cup from him?' (luke 22:42,) No. Jesus always attributed his power to god his father

What u dont seem to realize is Jesus was fully human, yet fully God. Only God could have been the Perfect Sacrifice for mans sin. Jesus was Perfect!

im sure it says... Was A god. Not... was god. How could jesus have been god on earth. After he died there would be no one alive with the power to raise him from the dead.

This is a very interesting topic, one that is very difficult to answer. Christians and scholars have been arguing about this question for a long time. I personally dont know enough about the subject to form an opinion yet. I pray God will reveal it to me according to His will.

Origen, a church father in the 2nd century brought abt a conflict because ppl believed he was try 2 say jesus was subordinate to god. However, tertullian was the 1st who tried to explain the godhead as a trinity. Its interesting reading origen, tertullian in juxtapose. Then read augustines 13 volumes on the trinity.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one. Looking at the N.T. original language wil indicate that the word one refers 2 unity in esence or nature instead of unity in person. Thus, the Father and Son are one in esence, meaning that they are both GOD. Althoug they are both God, they are distinct persons. John 10:30 affirms the deity (God-ness) of Jesus without harming the doctrine of the trinity. In fact, it highlights the doctrine of the trinity. The Father and the Son are of the same esence, bt they are nt the same person
