Hey chris, most of the nice christian bands i enjoy is rock, like Casting Krowns, News boyz, MercyMe, and so many other bands, so i don't think rock is evil... Where i'm from, we love hip-hop alot, but it also has negatives... Just yesterday, i committed myself 2 bein a total christian, (I don't no if I'll succeed). Anyway, one of my resolutions is to stop listenin to any worldly music, unless I'm in a situation where i'm not the one choosin the music... Its not the type of music we listen to, but rather the message in the music, and whether we try to admit it or not, most of the worldly music we listen to talks about things which are contrary to wat the bible teachers... So, good luck in whatever step u decide to take...
