One - ichi, two - ni, three - san, four - yon (or shi), five - go, six - roku, seven - nana (or shichi), eight - hachi, nine - kyu-u (or ku), ten - jyu-u. If u want to say 45 in Japanese u would first break down the number into its elements: 45 = 4 * 10 + 1 * 5 The number is then pro nounced: Four Ten, Five which in Japanese is 'yon jyuu go'

50 - go jyuu (five tens), 99 - kyuu jyuu kyuu (nine tens + nine). The word of one hundred in Japanese is 'hyaku' and the same principles as those used for numbers between 11-99 is used for numbers from 101-999. That is first you state how many hundreds there are (if only one u merely say 'hyaku' not 'ichi hyaku'), then the number of tens, and finally any remaining figures between one and nine.

500 - go hyaku (five hundreds), 666 - roku hyaku roku jyuu roku (six hundreds, six tens + six). There is one exception to this rule which is for the numbers 300-399, in this case rather than saying 'hyaku' for hundred the word 'byaku' is used instead. 389 - san byaku hichi jyuu kyuu (three hundreds, eight tens + nine).

The word for one thousand in Japanese is 'sen' (in the case of 3000-3999 this is changed to 'zen'), once again the same rules used earlier apply. For example 9841 is pro nounced kyuu sen hatch hyaku yon jyuu ichi which means nine thousands, eight hundreds, four tens + one. Unlike in the english counting system for the number 10000 instead of saying 'ten thousand' this number has been given its own word which is 'ichi-man', unlike the earlier instances of tens, hundreds, and thousands the 'ichi' must be included in front of 'man' for the numbers 10000-19999 following that will be ni-man, san-man etc.
