Hiya, i'm usin my phone as modem via usb cable, but it's so slow. Any hints as to improving my situation? Smeegol.

Is your phone to PC internet free?

I have heard about using phone as modem but cannot do it, is it only specific phones? Does anyone answer on these sites? Lol

im using my fone as a modem too on my pc throu usb cable i jus had to put nokia pc suite from ma fone on to my pc then set it up from there

Perhaps its just nokia then :-)

Hey buddies using a phone as modem is so easy as long as you have install your phone pc sult.nokia's r already configured u just go 2 web browser of u go.when u r using sony ericso u just go and open up the pc sult icon on your pc,when it has been opened u go where the is mobile networking wizard.then go 2 new connection fill in the requred setups of go.other phone brands pc sult r made as the nokia is.if they dont workout then configulation setup is needed.it doesnt deffer that much from above metioned.if all fails write me mybe i can help.

my word.all u need r yr phn drivers 4modem.eg mmodem.sys and mmodem.inf 4 motorola da same applies to other phns u gt drivers then u go2 ntwork conn new net config manual dial up is *99***3 then choose yr modem

I connected to my pc internet with virgin mobile, 4 free. Unfortunately it kept saying UNSUFFICIENT FUNDS. But i did connect to my pc

Your speed is limited due to it only being on gprs if you wish for a faster connection by using a mobile phone then purchase a phone which is 3G compatible that'll speed it up a bit but other then that you want anything faster you best get broadband or if in a area which broadband cant be covered dialup also nokia isn't the only phone manufacture that allows phone to access the internet with pc i've used my nokia to access internet via bluetooth as i couldn't be bothered with the pc suite and then used my Sony Ericsson with its pc suite its incredibly simple to access internet with your phone as a modem so if you need help just inbox me and ask and I'll give you my suggestions

I used motorola, to go on the net...All phones i believe that can connect via usb can connect as modem..Im sure the Motorola c350 can do it........I also have an erricson w600i that can connect to the pc to get net... V.I.A bluetooth...But i don't use it to connect to the net, i just use it as a test run as i have a 3g wireless modem...Good luck with setting up your internet connections
