Was it tom baker or slyvester mccoy.the 7th doctor did appear in the 1996 tv movie and that was set in 1999 just before the millennium.tom baker served as the 4th doctor from 1974-1981 making him the longest in the tv series because he never did a tv movie |

Got to be Tom Baker! Silvia only got the gig in the tv movie last minute due to BBC backing it and he was still under contract! Baker was the best, the maddest and stayed the longest!!
