 RICE STEM BORER Nature Of Damage : The larva feeds inside d stem causin dryin of d central shoot n dryin of d panicle. Life History : Eggs(5-8 days)-Larva(35-40 days)-Pupa(6-10 days)-Adult moth. Total life cycle 50-70 days. Control : 1. Removal n destruction of rice stubbles frm field. 2. Collection n desdruction of egg masses. 3. Moths may be collected by settin light traps. |
