if God was a trinity dont you think he would have made it clear that 3 is 1...?.

Ok. First things first. Trinity is one God manifested in three eternally co-existing, co-equal and co-eternal persons. These three share the same essence of Godhood and can therefore not be referred to as three gods, although each is fully God by himself. Hope i didn't confuse you

the only scripture in the bible that describes 3 in 1 is 1 john 5:7 of the king james. and everyone knows it is not authentic. you know that as well

He made it absolutely clear as I'll show. As for the history of the trinity, it was started by Jesus who through his teachings showed the divinity of all three persons, especially the baptismal formula of matthew 28:19. The word itself 'trinity' was first used by Tertullian in 200 A.D. It was not necessary to define the trinity as it was universal christian belief, until the church was forced by heresies to do so in 325 A.D. Nicaea did not decide church doctrine, it upheld or affirmed it. Have you read about Arius? He held to beliefs which were deemed heresy by the apologists and apparently his modern-day heirs are Jehovah's Witnesses. His doctrine was denounced at Nicaea.

Please don't use the 'later addition' tactic. I can also use it to prove my point. Read John 1:1 the word was God, with capital G, not a god as you render it. Jesus is the word.

Do you believe God is the creator? According to colossians 1:16, all things were created by Jesus. Therefore Jesus is God.

Ok who created the world. If you think its God you have no choice but to accept that Jesus is God because colossians 1:16 says its him who created all things.

lets say it was a copyist error, they still print this error. ???
