hello and congrats for your new phone. you should format it if you didnt put anything on it yet as the first owner maybe had installed apps etc. that will make your phone brand new:) and you should ask on the s60 forum as that is the forum where the most genious people hanging around lol. you can find there also useful topics to learn some things about your new phone. go to the pinned topics and you will find much stuff to read:) of course you can also ask here if you feel better that way:)
