in chapter 2 of genesis GOD tells adam he was not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. in chapter 3 the serpent decieved eve into eating the fruit By telling her her eyes would be opened. she seen it was good to taste and to look at. she also seen it was good to make one wise. |

while they were ignorant to sin they could not be held accountable. but once thier eyes were open and they gained knowledge of sin and was wise to good and evil they became accountable. |
