here is something i learned recently. j.o.y= JESUS.others.yourself. always start your prayer out with thanksgiving and praise. then pray for the needs of others. then for yourself. have no distractions or as little as possible. focus on JESUS. in other words approach the throne of grace with joy.

what is in your heart is what speaks to the LORD. pray this. LORD continualy search my heart. HE will give you the desires of it. if it be HIS will. and clean it of all impurities that is not pleasing to HIM
