My husband and i say silly things to each other but as far as being serious we dont talk like that. Before i met my husband i was in a very abusive relationship. My hubby says that if always tries to watch what he says joking around bc he doesnt want me to be reminded of how my life used to be. I think we all say things that we really foot mean so maybe you should consider talkin to her about it. Hope that helps
