When they are in water they absorb water through their skin and when they are on land they use their lungs to breath

they absorb water through their skins when they are in rivers,pond or lakes and oxygen diffuses through their gills inside their body from the absorb water and finally get into the lung. when they are on land air enters the nostril and pass through the trachea to the lung.
