because not many ppl understand the king james version 400 yr old, old english that no1 speaks today. and while many scholars tried to translate the bible they put their own ideas and traditions into the translations.
for example removing Gods name Jehovah and putting Lord in its place.

it should appear according to how the bible demands.'do not take the Name of the Lord in Vain.'that shows someone understood before writing the bible.They used it for names of places as they were afraid to take it in vain for It is Divine.that really makes sense to me.

That belief of yours is evidently based on a misapplication of a bible law that states: ''You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way.'' Exodus 20:7.
That law forbids the misuse of Gods name. But does it forbid the respectful use of his name?
