Virtues of Reciting Surah Al Kahf (18) - The Cave The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, Whoever recited Surah al Kahf in the same manner in which it was revealed, it will serve for him as a light on the Day of Judgement, from his domicile to Makkah. Prophet (SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam) said, Guarantee for me six actions and I will guarantee for you Paradise: Be truthful when you speak, fulfill your promises when you make them, fulfill the trust when you are trusted, guard your private parts, lower your gaze, and restrain your hands (from fighting). |

MISSING PRAYERS CLOSE TO INFIDELITY (KUFR) Hazrat Buraidah narrates that Rasool Allah (peace be upon him) said, The difference between us and them (the hypocrites) is prayer. He who intentionally misses prayers is a non believer. [Tirmizi] A similar Hadith is narrated by Hazrat Abu Darda that Rasool Allah (Peace be upon him) said, Whoever misses prayers intentionally has committed infidelity. The words in the Hadith are Faqad Kafar which have been explained as meaning going close to infidelity. He has forsaken prayer even though prayer is a pillar of faith and a foundation of belief. Faqad Kafar means that he has committed an act of infidelity because infidels also do not pray. |

The Prophet (Sallallhu alaihi wa sallam) said: Indeed, among the actions and good deeds for which a believer will continue to receive rewards even after his death are: (i) Knowledge which he taught and spread (ii) righteous children whom he left behind (iii) the Qur'an which he left as an inheritance (iv) a masjid which he built (v) a rest house which he built for the travelers (vi) a stream which he caused to flow (vii) a charity that he gave from his wealth, when; he was alive and healthy. For all these, he will continue to receive rewards after his death. (Ibne-Majah) |
