No, hibernating feature doesn't consume battery, for confirmation, u can hibernate ur laptop, then remove the battery from ur laptop. (now acording 2 u, hibernated machine that was consuming electricity, should lost its hibernated data. Rite? But it won't)attach the battery again after as many days as u like, system will resume your work. As i asked about hard drive, not about battery, it takes upto 1.5GB or more in windows installation drive while hibernating. My question is again same, does it damage hard drive??
