Vista was the 1st proper multi-arch Windows Operating System. Windows XP 64-bit was more of a trial run.

They also re-branded and re-launched updated Vista as Windows 7 and hit the jackpot. People finally moved forward from XP.

I actually started with a pirated Windows XP in 2004 that was The Pirate Bay branded. There was a high chance for identity theft, bank account theft etc.

That is why you do not pirate your base Operating System. Backdoors and rootkits are built-in with such cr*p. Be it Windows, MacOS or a premium/enterprise UNIX or *Nix-like system.

Avoid rooting and/or jailbreaking your phone/tablet too. Be it iOS, Android etc. Unless you have a spare one... Same for your PC too, if you have a spare which you do not use sensitive data on then go ahead lol REMEMBER: You have been warned.
