Official Website http://www.kevinbigs*xynash.com/ History: A former basketball player at University of Tennessee, Kevin Nash always considered himself an athlete. He averaged 5.1 points and 4.2 rebounds at Tennessee, then left there to try his hand at a professional basketball career, playing some overseas. He was even invited to a Cleveland Cavaliers basketball camp. But when he injured his knee, Kevin Nash's career went in a different direction. |

After the knee injury healed to an extent, Nash entered the world of professional wrestling, training at the Power Plant. He began his wrestling career as the bodyguard of Woman, who was at that time managing Doom. This quickly fell through, and Nash later appeared as Steel, a member of the Master Blasters in the NWA. Although Nash and partner Al Green worked well as a team, they were never given a good shot.

Nash then tried again as OZ, with a green coat and silver hair. He was managed by 'The Wizard' (Kevin Sullivan). Again, the fans were not swayed, so after a few months, in came Vinnie Vegas, a very large casino bouncer. He made his first appearance at Clash of the Champions XVIII, where he quickly defeated Tommy Rich. He joined Harley Race's stable and teamed briefly with Mr. Hughes, then moved on to the Diamond Mine with Diamond Dallas Page, the Diamond Studd (Scott Hall), Tommy Flamingo (Raven), and the Freebirds. This gimmick earned him a little more respect, but mainly did not get him the recognition he was looking for. It was soon after when Nash moved to the WWF.

In 1993, Diesel appeared on the scene of the World Wrestling Federation. Beginning as the bodyguard of Shawn Michaels, Nash aided the Heart Break Kid to many victories. He then began wrestling for himself, and made a major impact at the Royal Rumble 1994. After eliminating many of the first combatants into the Rumble, he seemed to earn the fan's respect, as they cheered every time he tossed someone.

It took nearly half a dozen wrestlers to get rid of him, as he finally took it to the next level. Over the next few months, he stayed with Shawn Michaels, now as a partial tag-team. With Michaels' help, he defeated Razor Ramon (Hall) for the Intercontinental Championship. 'Diesal' then became a major force in the WWF, including battling Bret Hart for the World Title at King of the Ring (where he won via DQ when Neidhart interfered).

Diesal also earned some more gold, when he and Michaels defeated the Headshrinkers at a house show to become Tag-Team Champions. A few days later, though, after an accidental kick by Michaels, Diesal lost the Intercontinental strap back to Razor Ramon. This started friction between the two wrestlers, which culminated at Survivor Series '94, when Michaels again missed a kick and hit Diesel.

The friendship was over, and the tag-team titles were stripped from them. Diesel didn't stay without gold long, though, as he easily crushed Bob Backlund to become the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. Diesal would go on to feud with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Sid Vicious, King Mabel, Yokozuna, and others within the next few months.
