If you are sincere before God and God forgives you and saves you, you will be changed forever. Yes, you will still sin. But God will guard you, and if you stray from the path He will correct you.

When you are saved, even though you sin, God corrects you. God will convict you heavily if you sin. You see, to have a new realtionship with God, you must also have a new relationship with sin. You might sin, but you will not STAY in sin or continue in sin or regularly practice sin.

1 John 3:4-10 'Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.'

I pray that this topic opens hearts to the true message of the Gospel. Too many people are led into some meaningless recited prayer and pro nounced saved. Crusades are held all over the world and tens of thousands come forward and repeat a prayer, but 95 percent of them wont attend church the next sunday. Because they werent really saved. Being saved can be a process: God might want you to despair over your sins for some time before He saves you, like He has done with me. Salvation is preceded by repentance - true repentance. A turning away from sin. A hatred of sin and a hatred of the things of this world and the desires of the flesh. A desire, not to be like Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake or the great majority of people who call themselves Christians, but a burning desire to be like Jesus Christ! |

Take heed of the words of Jesus in Matthew 1:15 ''The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.''
