She puts on his favorite dress,
The one he bought her when they first met.
Tears cascading down her face,
As she prepares her permanent goodbye.
She wrote him a letter, telling him why,
All the words he told her, she found out were lies.
Words that he thought she wanted to hear,
That she was pretty, smart, and s*xy too.
When their effects wore off, they did more harm than good.
She loved him with all that she had,
And bought into his candy-coated lies.
Until she found out, that's all that they were,
And decided it was time to say goodbye.
She gathered the things that were most precious to her,
From the time they had shared together.
She goes to their trysting place,
A beautiful meadow full of wildflowers.
She spreads out a blanket and kneels down.
Upon the blanket she carefully lays out
All of the items that she brought with her.
She gazes lovingly at his picture one last time,
The waterfall of tears never ceasing.
After placing it in front of her, right
in the middle,
She lays down a locket underneath it.
A golden heart with their picture inside,
And a lock of their hair, that was intertwined.
Next is the letter she wrote, scented with her perfume,
Placed carefully under a small rock that she found.
Finally she pulls put a beautifully jeweled dagger,
Its sharp blade glistening in the sun.
She stabs his picture where his heart would be.
Then, with his photo stuck on the tip,
She thrusts it in her chest, piercing her heart.
As tiny droplets of blood spray out on the letter,
She gently falls over, her life oozing out of her.
The gentle breeze carries the last words she said,
I love you my darling as she closes her eyes.
