Was Adam an African?

I watched a program about evolution on discovery channel. It says that according to a research, the oldest human beings on earth are found in Africa. So, does it mean that the first human being on earth is an African?

Where is eden then ?

Well until one can find where the Garden of Eden is, then no conclusions can be made. The Bible did however, state geographically where it is, various rivers that ran/runs through it were mentioned in Genesis.

Namely.. As it was given account, one river went into Eden and out of it came four- Pison the first flowing towards Havilah, Gihon the second, flowing in the land of Ethiopia. Hiddekel the third going toward the east of Assyria and the river Euphrates the last one.
