New life in christ can be compared with a seed. A farmer plants a seed in soil, for it to germinate and grow into a new plant the outer shell must die. In the same way if one reiceves christ as saviour he or she dies to sin and begins new life in christ. This means when we receive christ we must put off the old self and its practices;s*xaul immorality,impurity,malice,hatred,discord,jealousy,selfish ambition etc. And put on the new self: love,joy,peace,patience,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,self control etc in christ jesus.
