Okay, i went from the morally best choices to almost lawful good / lawful neutral depending on case. For example judging a dude harshly increased everything a bit and got me some praise, but judging him less harshly and sending him to local prison gave me less order points, but gave me his guard as a new character. And the character is actually pretty strong. + New characters will have same weapon tempering level as your current party. For example if everyone in party has LV30 then the new character will start at LV30. This can potentially save you a ton of money. Also their minimum level should be at least what is the least leveled one in your whole team. And everyone in reserve gain exp and level up in the background. So pre-emptive weapon grinding can save some money in the future. I set my bar a bit too high and had to put on some grind music because it took some extra minutes lol

AND also i put most of my money in offense so my characters take a fair amount of damage when hit. A level up fills both HP and SP, a good thing to remember too.

Oh and some choices have different weight to them and may lead to new/different cases too. The one where i got the guard from was a new case depending on the judgment in the previous one. If i was reading a FAQ or a walkthrough i could ignore everything and just pick optimal choices that would benefit me without giving a cr*p about the content / lore. But i am a NOT doing that so i need to weigh some pros and cons of choices, but still in an attempt to be GOOD over evil.

Been to some places way above my pay grade. Some enemies just have to fart in my general direction to kill me dead. If i manage to survive and take them down the reward is fairly nice. Those Leaf Enemies can't take the heat of a Fire attack for example.

It is kinda funny that the ''bad'' and/or heartless judgments increase and improve economy... I'm constantly on the negative lol ![]() |

This game is a possible hidden gem even among kemco games themselves. The character art looks very, very amateur-ish though and the evil/villain character doesn't seem to have the best writing, but i need to see the game through to ''judge'' that aspect of the game properly. ![]() |

also you sort of maintain ORDER and not everything is black and white, but MONOCHROME instead. ![]() |

There are extra bosses and some superbosses (like in Final Fantasy games for example). Also my order info says +44 Fame / +14 Peace / -22 Economy at the end of 1st playthrough ROFL !

Graphics: 8.5 Sound: 9.0 Gameplay: 9.0 Battle System: 9.0 Difficulty: Medium to High Battle Type: Turn-based Encounter Type: Random Encounter Rate: Relatively High Length: 10 to 20 Hours + Good Music + Okay Story + Choices in Sub and Main Quests + Choice Consequences + Can Run From ANY Normal Battle - Bad Character Art - Too Short Replay Value: Unknown (Has 5 different endings and branching main quest paths, but no idea how different they are. Gotta do New Game+ at least once to be able to tell.) Funny note: Heartless / Bad / Immoral Choices Often Boost the Economy... |

Main Character(s) do not have to be in the fighting team either. However it seems at least one healer is recommended. Current grind team at Ancient Altar is Turner, Blaze and ''the hero''. The first two have fire attacks and the hero can heal.

also as always; Kemco SELLS cheat features for real money. EYE OF TRUTH: See results of choices in advance. (Pointless because you can just load a game after seeing either result.) FOUNTAIN OF GLORY: Triple Exp points. (...) CHAIN OF DESTINY: Toggle Encounter Rate; Every Step/Off/Default. (Kinda pointless too because you can run from normal battles.) SWORD OF TRANSCENDENCE: Double Damage (...) SOURCE OF VITALITY: Recover all HP and SP after a battle. (Stragegic level ups or just exiting dungeon anywhere and go to an inn) INFINITY RING: Skills cost 0 SP (Again strategic level ups and Recover SP command in battles.)

One extra point / feather in the game's cap: If you take side path, there is almost always a treasure chest there. Almost always. So it actually pays off to wander around and since you can run from any normal battle so you can explore high-level dungeons for their possible high-quality loot. In some cases enemies are faster than you and can land a hit or two before you get your turn to escape, but escape rate is hundred percent in normal encounters. EDIT: A few too many chests contain just Gold, which is not that important anymore in new game+ ...

Also enemies can and will often GUARD at your physical attacks and elemental attacks (if they are physical+element.) For example Icicle Sword by Ellen. Should go for her Iceberg instead because that should always land as it is magic damage. It seems Passe's Flying Blade is also physical+element ... But i think it is less often blocked because enemies it is used on are weak to Wind.
