BMW is keeping mum, but expect the convertible version of the hot BMW M6 to debut sometime in late 2006, about a year after the M5 sedan arrived stateside. Cabrio prototypes have been spotted testing at the Nürburgring. It will be propelled by the same 500-hp, 5.0-liter V-10 found in the M6 coupe—which made its worldwide debut earlier this year in Geneva—mated to BMW’s seven-speed SMG (sequential manual gearbox) transmission.
