Joining the Prius in Toyota's green-leaning lineup is the Highlander hybrid. The SUV offers the same 268-combined-hp hybrid system as the Lexus RX400h yet costs more than $14,000 less. In two-wheel-drive models, the 3.3-liter V-6 is supplemented by one electric motor; four-wheel-drive Highlanders have two. An extra motor-generator regulates the electricity/gasoline ratio.
