Recipes Home : Vegetables:Paneer Receipes: MatarPaneer RecipieMATTAR PANEER RECIPEIngredients:450gms /1lb shelled Mutter(green peas)250gms / 1/2 lb Paneer Howto make paneer2 medium onions (chopped)6 cloves garlic (crushed)1 tbsp grated ginger2 green chilies (chopped)250gms / 1/2 lb tomatoes(peeled and sliced)Salt To Taste1cup curd / plain yogurt1 tsp turmeric powder1 tbsp coriander seeds4 bay leaves2 cups water1/2 cup ghee / vegetable oilTo Garnish :Garam masala powderChopped coriander leavesPreparation:Make a paste by grindingtogether half the onions, thegarlic and coriander seeds.Heat the ghee in a frying panand cut the paneer into 2.5 -cm/1 -inch cubes. Fry thepaneer to a light brown andremove to drain on a plate.Add the remaining onion andthe ginger to the ghee / oil ina pan and add the bay leavesand fry until the onion isgolden brown.Add the turmeric and thepaste mixture and fry until theghee starts to separate.Add the paneer and mutter(peas) along with the yogurt,chili, tomato and salt. Stir for5-6 minutes over low heat.Pour in the water and simmergently for 20 minutes. Servethe matar paneer sprinkledwith garam masala andcoriander.
